Micro-Needling
Stimulating collagen and elastin for a natural glow

Micro-needling, sometimes called collagen induction therapy, uses a cluster of very fine needles to make countless tiny, controlled openings in the surface of the skin. Those micro-channels are too small to cause real injury, but they're enough to wake up the skin's own repair response, prompting it to lay down fresh collagen and elastin. The result, over a series of sessions, is smoother texture and firmer, more even tone, drawn out of your own skin rather than added to it.
What micro-needling actually is
We pass a sterile, single-use needle head gently across the skin, creating a field of microscopic channels at a depth chosen for the area and your goals. The skin reads these as tiny signals to renew, and the body responds by rebuilding: firmer, fresher tissue in the weeks that follow. The same channels also let serums absorb far more effectively than they would on intact skin.
It's a natural companion to facial acupuncture: where the needling here works the surface to refresh texture and tone, acupuncture works underneath to support circulation and muscle. Many people do them together.
In the roomWhat it actually feels like
After cleansing, we usually apply a topical numbing cream so the treatment stays comfortable. Most people describe the sensation as a light prickle with a mild warmth, more like a faint sandpaper feeling than anything sharp. Bonier areas, like the forehead or jawline, can feel a touch more, and we adjust as we go.
A session takes roughly thirty to sixty minutes including prep. Right afterward, the skin typically looks flushed and feels warm, much like a light sunburn, a look that settles considerably within a day for most people.
There's a little downtime, and it's predictable.
Expect redness and a warm, tight feeling for about twenty-four hours, sometimes with mild flaking over the next few days as the skin renews. We'll send you home with simple aftercare: gentle cleanser, sun protection, and a short list of things to pause. Plan treatments with a few days' buffer before any big event, and the results build quietly from there.
Where it helpsWhat people come in for
Micro-needling is reached for when the goal is texture, tone, and a healthier-looking surface:
- Fine lines and early signs of aging.
- Uneven texture and enlarged-looking pores.
- Acne scarring and other soft scarring.
- Dull, tired-looking skin in need of a refresh.
- Uneven tone and overall firmness.
It's most effective as a short series spaced a few weeks apart, then maintained occasionally, and it pairs naturally with cosmetic acupuncture.
Across the practiceWhere you’ll find it
Micro-needling lives in our cosmetic & facial rejuvenation care, alongside facial acupuncture, facial gua sha, and facial cupping.
One honest caution: micro-needling isn't right for everyone or every moment. If you have an active breakout or skin infection in the area, certain skin conditions, or are pregnant, tell us, and we'll wait, adjust, or suggest something else. Your skin's safety comes first.
HonestlyIs it right for you?
"How many sessions will I need?"
Most people see the best results from a short series (often three to six sessions spaced a few weeks apart) with occasional maintenance after that. We'll give you a realistic plan for your skin and goals at your first visit, not a one-size number.
"Is the downtime really manageable?"
For most people, yes. The redness is the main event, and it usually calms within a day. We'll always tell you honestly what to expect, and help you time treatments around your schedule so nothing catches you off guard.
"Every face tells a story, and my job is never to erase it. Microneedling simply gives your skin a thoughtful nudge toward renewal. I take real care with this work, and patients feel that from the first consultation."
Still curious? Start with a conversation.
A first visit always begins with time to talk, so bring every question you have, and we'll figure out together whether this is a fit. New patients always welcome.
