Eastern roots.
Western tools.

Most clinics pick a side. We don't.

One Kinetic is a multi-disciplinary clinic. Our acupuncture care draws on the diagnostic frameworks of Traditional Chinese Medicine (pulse, tongue, and meridian-based pattern recognition that has been refined over thousands of years), and integrates them with functional medicine, kinesiology, and modern anatomical understanding.

That means a treatment session might include needling along classical meridians, electroacupuncture for muscle response, cupping or gua sha for soft tissue, herbal recommendations, and functional-medicine guidance on what your body needs to support healing between visits.

The result is care that respects ancient wisdom and uses everything modern science has to offer.

Common questions

Does acupuncture hurt?
Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. The needles are about the thickness of a strand of hair, much thinner than the needles used for injections or blood draws. Most people feel a brief sensation when a needle is inserted, then nothing or a mild warmth. Many patients fall asleep during their session.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and how long you've been dealing with it. Acute issues often respond in just a few sessions. Chronic conditions typically need 6 to 12 sessions before we evaluate progress. We'll give you a realistic treatment plan after your initial visit and never recommend more care than you need.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept several major insurance plans for acupuncture and can verify your benefits before your first visit. Many patients also use HSA or FSA funds. We'll go over coverage during your free phone consultation.
Is acupuncture safe?
When performed by a licensed acupuncturist using single-use sterile needles, acupuncture has an excellent safety profile. All of our practitioners are licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and follow strict clean-needle protocols.
How is this different from dry needling?
Dry needling typically focuses narrowly on trigger points in muscles. Acupuncture at One Kinetic addresses the whole system, using both traditional meridian-based techniques and Western anatomical approaches when appropriate. The goal is not just to release a tight muscle. It is to support the body's overall healing capacity.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most patients can be seen within the same week. After your free phone consultation, we'll schedule your initial visit at a time that works for you. Same-day appointments are sometimes available.
